Doctor Medicine
Description
A human warlock whose Archfey patron contacts him through letters that appear in his book. Charisma 18. Background: Charlatan. The name alone tells you something. Speaks Common, Draconic, and Elvish. Carries fine clothes, a costume, a Forgery Kit, Alchemist’s Supplies, parchment, and ink — someone who is always prepared to be whoever the situation requires. His Healer feat means “Doctor” is at least partially functional.
Personality
Fully committed to the bit at all times. Sells snake oil to anything that will hold still long enough. Has conned baby beholders, a muddy spring guardian, and at least one orc fighter (the “speed potion” incident remains technically unresolved). The charlatan persona and the warlock powers are deployed with equal confidence, and it is not always clear which one is doing more work. The Archfey patron’s notes apparently tell him where to be, which he finds both useful and annoying.
Session Notes
- Session 1: Stabilized River using the Healer feat (“I’m a licensed chiropractor”); sold Berg a vial of red snake oil as a “speed potion”
- Session 2: Successfully conned three gazers into trading Ioun stones for snake oil with a promise the stones would reappear in two days; used Misty Step + Refreshing Step repeatedly to stay mobile; the two-day deadline has since passed
- Session 3: Negotiated the Dragonlord’s Dagger trade with the mud spring guardian; extracted the sending stone; pocketed a bone necklace from Durok’s yurt while Kaarsk wasn’t watching
Relationships
- Party: Alina Shandorath, Roaring River, Berg Wurdnowwah
