Ulfe is an Elk tribe (Reghedsmen) scout who sought out Raydin by name during Session 8 — the two had an old card-game debt between them, which Ulfe offered to forgive entirely in exchange for help with his brother.

That brother is Bjarne. He’d gone out to a cache site near the City that Never Was and come back wearing a dead mage’s Glamoured Studded Leather — raving, speaking in a language no one recognized, and acting erratically. Ulfe had kept him restrained and intoxicated just to keep him under control until help arrived. What was riding inside him was an Allip, the lingering remnant of someone who had been “partially taken” long ago. The party came to try to coax the spirit out; afterward, Bjarne came back to himself, wishing only to be rid of the armor he’d found.

Klaud and Snurre are the two other scouts who’d been with Bjarne and Ulfe at the cache site. When the Allip’s babble turned all three scouts hostile at once, Raydin’s Hypnotic Pattern caught the whole group in a single trance; Berg and River subdued Klaud and Snurre non-lethally while Ulfe stayed under, undisturbed, until it was safe.
