Savin
A young hunter from the Coldpeak tribe. Half-orc — his father was Elk tribe, one of the Reghedsmen, who came to live with the Coldpeak and married Broken Tusk’s sister. His mother died shortly after he was born. His father is also gone. He has grown up between two peoples who each have claim to him and neither has known what to do with that. Has a scar on his right hand that he deflects questions about.
Broken Tusk is his aunt — his mother’s sister. The alliance between the Coldpeak and the Elk tribe has been maintained across many seasons. Whatever that alliance was built on, it was personal before it was political.
Found Pasha wandering in the blizzard after she separated from the party, and escorted both her and the party to the tribe’s camp. Vouched for the outsiders to Broken Tusk on the basis that they had survived Rimetalon.
Was being quietly groomed for tribal leadership by Broken Tusk. Does not want it. The tribe is in crisis, which is not making that situation easier. Kaarsk has never hidden his contempt.
Escorted the party to Durok’s spring and the Netherese ruins in Session 4. Mentioned, almost as an aside, that he has gone near the mountain the tribe refuses to name — closer than any hunter should — and never felt what the others describe. He said this without apparent concern. He did not explain it further.
When the Elk tribe returned to camp in Session 6, the ground Savin stands on got considerably more complicated.
By the end of Session 7, Savin left Coldpeak to hunt with the Elk tribe — his father’s people — instead.
