Resumed in the swamp. A tower in the distance surrounded by brambles. The balloon’s basket hangs from a window of the uppermost tower.
Flew up to rescue someone who cried out for help. Before they got there, a clawed hand reached out and grabbed the person. Nature check: Ettercap.
Chris burst down the door. Inside:
Second floor: bookshelf + other furniture tied with webs.
Third floor: lit by natural light, well-lived in — oven, kitchen, workshop. Notes detail that Bavlorna might be contaminating the well, and a tree trunk labelled “Brigand’s Hideout.”
Top/Fourth floor: bedroom. Light filters through faerie dragon webbing. A silver birdcage and a purple faerie dragon.
Ettercap webbed Rool; a mastiff howled at them. Ettercap claimed it wouldn’t eat them — it was taking the faerie dragon to trade back to Bavlorna to lift a curse.
Faerie dragon says he does not belong to anyone. He is Sir Talavar of the Summer Court.
Ettercap revealed she was turned into her current form and had her thumbs taken; she once served Zybilna.
Sir Talavar swore on his honor as a knight to [fulfill a task] if released.
Dawn cast Augury.
Sebastian [party member] was involved.
A flying serpent with saucer eyes beset on them; the pilot perished — Bully Wog / Wiggle Wog.
It had come to ask Zybilna to ally with a court against the Fomorians. She was overthrown by the Hourglass Coven, captured by Bavlorna, and locked in the cage. The Watcher in the North is also mentioned. The cage is magically locked.
Myster traded the Decanter of Endless Water for a rucksack of potatoes.
In the mudroom: stilts.
Found the well. Myster cleansed it with the decanter. A will-o-wisp appeared and offered to track a tuning fork that sounds the T note for a unicorn horn — made of candy corn.
Ran across a number of Bullywugs and Giant Frogs ganging up on a giant dragonfly. Several giant frogs fought over it.
Rescued the dragonfly Zert, who wishes to return to his family. His wing will return after a long rest.
After the fight, turned around to see a walking building — crawling on many legs and feet. Sign in front: “The Inn at the End of the Road.” Three-story structure, lit by many lights like fireflies. Hearty stew wafting from the windows. Inside, greeted by Tsu Harabax. Offers free beds, food, and a slice of plum pie.
