Myster had a vision from the actual Great Croaker, who enabled him to turn into a frog and summon tentacles.
Went into an adjacent room — a meat locker. Inside was a chest radiating cold. Chris opened it; inside was a beating heart. Dawn identified it as an elf’s still-beating heart. They took it.
Room filled with racks of pickling jars. Found a campestri inside one — they named it Picker.
Balcony with three cages. One cage held a Satyr — freed him from the lock. His name is Vansel.
Next room: a distillery. Mushroom-based alcohol.
There is a portal to the Witchlight. The activation word may be “Spittlespew” or “Bandersnatch.”
The being with Bavlorna is a shadow named Charm, from a shop called “Spit, Babble, Trinket, and Charm.”
Dining Room: a severed goblin head over each door.
Guest Room: mummified pixies pinned to the wall. Shadowbox broken and contents missing.
Hallway: portraits of sad, scared, and angry people — various sketches and paintings. A mirror hanging just before the stairs.
Smiling at the mirror opened a secret door to an L-shaped passage. As they went down the passage, everything “grew” (they were shrinking). Reached 1/20 size. Door held closed by a steel needle — opened it.
Next room: a study. Two creatures — a dark woman having tea (with Bavlorna?), and a toadlike woman with bulging eyes. Room is filthy: dirty dishes, food, stained mould. The tall lean woman does not have a shadow.
Used Spider Climb to get to the attic and found a bedroom. A ball of light approached Chris.
Dawn kicked down the door — inside: a dying lornling and a shadow.
Fought the shadow while Dawn reached into the frog mouth. She got her recipe back.
