Into Yon: Gleam, the Goat Prophecies & the Brigganock Mines
Elkhorn volunteered to take the kids home before the party left for Yon.
Squeaky Squeaker came before they left and gave a gilded acorn as a thank-you.
Saw lightning striking the mountain peaks of Yon, striking lightning rods.
Myster felt a spark of inspiration and a pull toward the north — toward a castle.
The sky darkened and a funnel/tornado swept several party members up (including Gloop and Snoodle[?]). They landed outside a large henge in the mountains.
Met a dandelion person (Amidor), a large bee (Pollinella), an elf (Gleam), and Jingle Jangle — though Jingle Jangle had stayed behind to help govern.
Gleam no longer casts a shadow. Shadowless creatures are thought to be cursed, and folks refuse to do business with them.
Amidor’s love interest is the honeybee Pollinella — the love of his life.
Gleam is searching for her sister and her shadow, which was cut from her by Endelyn with scissors.
She wants to return home by the toy beacons. There is also an elf prince trapped there, kept by Endelyn. She is not able to achieve this yet.
Endelyn’s prophecy: her demise will happen during an eclipse. She believes the twins would be a symbolic equivalent.
Hurley is also trapped there by Endelyn.
For a revolt they will need allies. Gleam recommends seeking out the Korreds in the mountains, who have been hiding since the hags threatened their existence.
Amidor agreed — everyone was on the same page.
A stone statue opened its mouth and announced: “By order of the Dame of Unhappy Endings — halt! Only those with the gift of prophecy may pass.” It challenged the party to “boulder, parchment, scissors.” They played rock every time and beat it.
Afterwards ran into goats: Billy, Gruff, and Grumble — each gave a prophecy hint:
“When the moon distracts the sun, Creeping Lynn will come undone.”
Gruff: “Play to her passions, stay on script. A cat, a horn, or a shadow ripped.”
Grumble: “The Fool Scepter is the key.”
Came upon a small stone checkered game board. Dawn gained proficiency with games and helped make the winning move. The two sides were Queen Argantle [of shale?] and Jagu of Chalk. The queen got mad, hurled the boulder, and shouted: “Death to the brigganocks!”
She explained that the brigganocks help “Bitter End” and hide blueprints in their mines. She can’t stand the sounds of their mining — they also hid statues near their mines to frighten her people.
There is a secret tunnel to Motherhorn hidden by the brigganocks, but they had to stop [using it] for fear of Endelyn’s meddling.
“Bitter End” is using their location to [remove/undermine] the Korreds [and] make iron [something — notes cut off].
The lightning powers Endelyn’s orrery of tragedies, which she uses for her prophecies.
If the party wanted, they could attempt to ally with the other clans. They could talk to each of the 8 clans of Korreds. Gleam can open portals through monoliths.
