The Mill, the Giant & Mudlump’s Romantic Mission

Single page of notes.

• Took a long rest.
• Myster wrote a letter and sent it secretly. (Unknown to most of the party.)
• Fought a dark mantle — put it into lightning and it fled. Several skill checks.
• Made it to the mill. Inside: many packages. People opened them — contents included alchemy jars, a bad doll, a bag of magical beans, and other traps.
• Went into the next room: mattress, wardrobe, mirror. A door was locked — seemed like it would lead outside.
• The wardrobe held various clothes sized for a large bipedal creature (a giant).
• A mirror made Myster look better.
• A picture book: “The Mouse, Snake and Me.”
• Letters with boots — a note reading: “Sweet Boy — [I’ve had the] darklings leave you a gift. Crank a day to keep the [darklings] away. Hugs & teeth. Claws & Kisses.” [A hag’s affectionate letter to her giant companion.]
• A door behind a combination lock: 1234. Magic stairs teleported the party upstairs.
• A giant upstairs, mourning over a dead giant crone.
• Azrael tried to crank a mechanism the other way — could not do it. The giant shouted at Azrael in Giant.
• Convinced the giant that they were sent by Endelyn and that she needed to turn the crank the other way.
• Arranged to have Mudlump [the cyclops from session 28, who asked about love] come meet her — a romantic mission.
