Took the crown. Put it on “Wrath” — the Iron Hart. It turned into a golden crown of roses.
Looked into a room with working goblins frozen in time. There was a paper-thin person hiding in the space between the bookcases. Servant’s Quarters.
Went to the marble tower. Has-relief at the top depicting demons and humans.
In the tower: found plum-sized gems — Zybilna’s crystallized desire to know what her enemies were up to, and crystallized desire to know how the less fortunate live.
Pegasi with a key inside. A Chime of Opening got it. Key started it. Left the chime behind.
Each door has an alabaster vase with several long-stemmed roses and a sign saying to take one in common. We each took one and entered.
Found a door with a lion motif. A window looked out into a lightning storm; it looked as if a knight had been thrown out of a tower with exploded stone.
Went to the unlocked door (a “stay” door). Room with a cubicle. Images of demons. A changing room — hooks and clothes.
Went next to the Bathing Room. Evidence of Jabberwocky.
Next: the Ballroom. Courtiers frozen around a cauldron. Marble round table with high-backed chairs. Tied off the knight (Strongheart) to an opposing balcony for safety.
Went into a room with a floating sword. It talked — its name was Snicker-Snack. Also found: Snicker-Snack’s scabbard, a hart hamlet [?], a unicorn cloak.
Quill + feather in another room, sheathed in flame, beside a black book. Front cover: Lion & Hart. Inside: the name of the hourglass coven. Cast entries are the “League of Malevolence,” written in a different handwriting. Flames on the quill are illusory and harmless.
Ring of pillars with faces and demons on them, stained glass windows. A man sits on a throne. (Warduke + Kelek, basilisks.)
