Tarn
The youngest volunteer in the war party that marched northwest to reach the Elk tribe, on his first expedition beyond Coldpeak’s hunting perimeter. Fast, the fastest runner in the column, and trying not to show how eager he was. He asked Berg about formation on the march out.
When the forced dash through the Brotherhood’s fog pushed everyone past their limits, Tarn hit exhaustion and fell just slightly behind the rest. Rime Talon came down out of the clouds and took him. Grath, who had walked beside him the whole way, said nothing.
Before Tarn, the bird had only ever taken Elk. He is one of the three it is known to have taken, along with Pasha and an Elk scout. In Session 21, Grath went north alone to find out what happened to him.
